Growing up in small-town Texas, Kristi Jean was a country girl whose love of music began with country songs on AM radio, Hee Haw on television, and gospel music in a Southern Baptist church. Those early influences shaped a lifelong passion for traditional country music and the powerful voices and heartfelt storytelling that defined it.

Her musical journey has taken her from theater stages to roadhouse bars across the American West. A starring role in the musical Always... Patsy Cline rekindled her admiration for Patsy's extraordinary voice and enduring songs, an experience that ultimately inspired her return to the music of the country legend.

Today, Kristi is the lead vocalist of One Acre West, the Pennsylvania-based Americana and roots duo she founded with guitarist and songwriter Steven Branstetter. Their self-titled debut album, released in September 2026 and recorded in Austin, Texas, with producer Bradley Kopp and an accomplished group of Texas musicians, has drawn enthusiastic reviews, particularly for Kristi's singing.
